| Getting
to the Technology Innovation Centre (tic)
The tic at Millennium Point is
located on the Eastside of Birmingham city centre.
Well served by bus connections, public car parking facilities
are located at the side of the building, with additional
parking nearby. New Street, Snow Hill and Moor Street
train stations, connecting Birmingham to the rest of
Britain, are only 10 minutes walk away.

Road
Car parking facilities
are available at Millennium Point on a daily charged
basis at rates comparable to other car parks in
the city centre. More details are available from
the tic reception.

From M6 - Jct
6 (A38(M) Aston Expressway) - 3 miles
Follow signs to City Centre, on the A38(M). After the
first exit follow signs for Ring Road and Convention
Centre. You immediately come to Dartmouth Circus roundabout
(just off the top of the map below). Take the first
exit (Dartmouth Middleway, Ring Road, A4540). At the
next island take the third exit (Jennens Road). After
200m turn left to Millennium Point car park and take
a token at the barrier. Enter the building past the
yellow cube (level GO) and follow signs to the technology
innovation centre.
From M5 - Jct
3 (Hagley Road) - 9 miles
Follow A456 into Birmingham for approximately 6 miles,
through the tunnel at Five Ways, onto Broad Street.
Follow signs for A38 (Aston Express Way) onto Great
Charles Queensway. Proceed under the tunnel onto St
Chads Queensway. Indicate left as you exit and go down
to the island at the bottom. Take the 2nd exit onto
Corporation Street to Dartmouth Circus roundabout. Take
the last exit (Dartmouth Middleway, Ring Road, A4540).
At the next island take the third exit (Jennens Road).
After 200m turn left to Millennium Point car park and
take a token at the barrier. Enter the building past
the yellow cube (level GO) and follow signs to the technology
innovation centre.
From M42 - Jct
6 (Coventry Road) - 11 miles
Follow A45 City Centre for approximately 7 miles. You
will then reach a large traffic island (Bordesley Circus).
Follow signs for M6 into Watery Lane Middleway. Continue
to follow signs for the M6 to the third island, at which
you take the first exit (Jennens Road). After 200m turn
left to Millennium Point car park and take a token at
the barrier. Enter the building past the yellow cube
(level GO) and follow signs to the technology innovation
centre.

Rail
Birmingham is served
by two main line stations - Birmingham New Street
in the city centre and Birmingham International
for the airport and NEC. |
There are
also two stations in the city centre, Snow Hill and
Moor Street train stations.
The city's
New Street Station is connected to Central London with
a fast and effective service which takes just 80 minutes.
With rail links running North, South, East and West
travelling to any part of the country from Birmingham
is easy.
Walking from
new street station
The tic is based in the heart
of Birmingham, only a 10 minute walk from the city centre
in the rapidly developing 'Eastside'.
Walking Route from New Street Station - 10 minutes
Leave the station via the escalators
and you will emerge into the Pallasades shopping mall.
Turn left for the exit and proceed down the ramp. Turn
right into New Street. The Rotunda building will be
on your right. Turn left into High Street. Proceed along
here past the Pavilions shopping centre and Marks &
Spencer. Turn right at Marks & Spencer into Carrs
lane and cross the road to Moor Street Train Station.
Turn left and follow the signs to Millennium Point.
Continue down Albert Street into Curzon Street. Millennium
Point is on the left.

Bus
There are bus stops
at Millennium Point on both Jennens Road (route
55 from city centre's Lower Bull Street, city centre)
and Curzon Street (route 26/27 from city centre).

airlines operate direct flights to over 58 destinations
in Europe, Scandinavia, North America and Asia,
including New York, Chicago and 13 capital cities.

Frequent
flights to the main European hub airports provide convenient
connections to destinations worldwide.
The airport is situated
8 miles southeast of Birmingham and, with its own mainline
station next door, access to the city centre and London
couldn't be easier.
